| The excitement of the first sight of land after a long sea passage cannot be conveyed in a photographic image. Looking out over the ships bowsprit past the outer jib at the Island of Saba in the West Indies makes one anticipate the adventures of discovery. All the landfalls have long since been made, so the only discoveries we will have here will be the diversions offered by yet another port. Soon we will eagerly anticipate heading back to sea where the real adventures still live. |
