| What you see here is the fores'l and behind it, the storm trys'l which were rigged during a hurricane while offshore. As the weather worsened, we shortened sail even more. On this occasion, the storm trys'l - the heaviest canvas on board - was blown out a number of times. It was a happy day when we were able to strike it for good and run under our regular sails. |
