Sheep, Isle of Hoy
© alex de steiguer

The dramatic towering cliffs and sea stacks of Hoy are taken for granted by these sheep grazing at the edge of one of the highest - they find the strangeness of our appearance among them far more interesting. Hoy is one of the Orkney Islands located well off the northern-most tip of Scotland's mainland. The Orkneys are so remote and northern that some of the locals consider themselves more Scandinavian than Scottish.
